2001 Mesa Boogie - Mark IV
Near Mint Condition
Cash Price $2,200
There is nothing like a Mesa Boogie Combo.  As impressive as the Mark IIC+ is, still my favorite amplifier, the 85W all-tube Mark IV provides a degree of flexibility and sonic versatility that is exceptional.  3 channels with independent control over nearly everything, the Mark IV is quite a package.  This one, with the creme cabinet and wicker grille is quite a looker too.
Legendary in performance, the Mark IV continued the legacy which first defined Mesa Boogie.  Three BIG sounds with individual control.  Rhythm 1 provides the high headroom clean channel sounds; bouncy and shimmering.  Rhythm 2 covers the middle ground and can produce a nice edge-of-break-up alternate clean, a purring Blues, or a Nice Crunch.  The lead mode is exceptional.
With the Treble / Middle / Bass EQ stack, you can dial in almost any sound.  Couple that with the separate presence controls on each channel, and with Mesa’s outstanding 5-band EQ, the sonic possibilities are limitless.
This amp provides many nice back panel features, from a footswitcheable effects loop, a very nice spring reverb, external switching jacks allowing external control, Power Amp voicing switches for Simul-Class, Class A, and Triode / Pentode operation.
There isn’t much you can’t do with this amplifier.  That’s why it has stood the test of time, and is one of the all-time classic high gain cascading tube amplifiers.
This combo produces 85 / 70 / 50 / 30W of Simul-Class / Class A power with it’s 4x6L6GC power tubes and 5x12AX7 Pre-Amp tubes.  The tubes have very little use on them.  It comes with a never-used Black Shadow MC-90 speaker.
This one is in near mint condition.  I am the original owner.  I never gigged it, never drove it hard, it has lived in my temperature and humidity controlled studio.
