This natural Modern Eagle Private Stock guitar has an exceptional quilted maple top and South American mahogany back. Finished in “Natural” this quarter-sawn top has amazing flame. Paul feels that the Modern Eagle model is the perfect guitar for those whose primary concern is tone and playability. The exceptional tone woods used in this guitar are beyond what is normally found on a standard Modern Eagle 1. The Brazilian rosewood neck and fingerboard has rich dark color and provides a level of sustain, clarity and articulation not available from other neck woods. The Brazilian rosewood in the headstock, neck, and fingerboard is very figured. The rare solid Brazilian rosewood neck has a wide fat carve with incredible feel, and the PRS RP’s just sing beautifully. Other features, such as rippled abalone Modern Eagle and bird inlays, and exceptional Brazilian Trim package of tuner buttons, pickup rings, backside plates, knobs, and toggle tip all add to this guitar’s uniqueness and special appeal. The Modern Eagle 1 also uses a thinner ultra-thin nitro-cellulose satin finish that allows the wood to resonate freely leading to better tone. An excellent playing and sounding guitar, this instrument functions as a great collectable sure to appreciate in value, as well as an awesome player to enjoy.
