Artistic Guitars is really excited about this new model with Scott Walker. The Walker Special 2 is a double cutaway, “Les Paul Jr. style” three on a side, short scale guitar. This prototype has an exquisite very intense bubble quilt top, with figured mahogany body. The first three prototypes have Brazilian packages - a 1-piece solid Brazilian rosewood neck, fingerboard, pickup rings and control knobs. Scale length is 24.75” with a 1&11/16” nut. Jescar 47104 frets give a nice-sized feel. Walker diamond inlays and ivoroid binding adorn the neck and headstock. Lollar high-wind humbucking pickups give a special sweet tone. And finally, gold hardware embellishes the tonewoods to give it a classy timeless look. Prototype #3 is finished in a very nice satin natural finish to accentuate the beautiful woods and the quilt pattern. Wow!
