Les Paul’s are great guitars indeed. When you combine the excellent architecture with the finest craftsmanship and materials from Frank Hartung, you have an exquisite masterpiece. This Gem uses the finest figured Exhibition Grade AAAAA flamed maple top above a light-weight highly figured Honduran mahogany body. With the finest highly figured solid Brazilian Rosewood neck and curly maple bound BRW Rosewood fingerboard and pickguard, and MOP crown fingerboard inlays, you have an instrument of unsurpassed beauty which can’t be matched by the Historic maker.
The specs are as you would expect from a fine R9. Setup with 09’s, neck dimensions start with a 1&11/16 nut width, with a 12” radius with medium jumbo 6150 frets, beefy round D ‘59 profile (934 mils @ 3rd fret), with a Bone nut. Japanese CTS and bumble-bee modern era equipped electronics govern the controls. These incredible combinations are then further enhanced with Ray Gerold XT B and R N goldcover Customshop pickups, a gold Tune-O-Matic / Alu stoptail bridge, and Shaller Locking Tuners.
Rounding out the esthetics is the BRW Rosewood package consisting of Tuner knobs, Pickup rings, Toggle tip, Backplates, Trussrod cover and Potentiometer knobs.
