The Severn is a double cutaway, “Strat style” six on a side, long scale guitar. Joe selected his best flawless flamed maple and finished Serial #1 in Golden Natural. The select mahogany lamination layer is very rare - “flamed mahogany”. Joe selected a figured alder body for this Severn. Severn #1 has many now unavailable features. Severn #1 features the Brazilian rosewood package consisting of an incredible Brazilian rosewood fingerboard inlayed with gold-outlined green snail diamonds with a 12th fret boat. The amazing bookmatched Brazilian Rosewood headstock is stunning. The straight-grained Brazilian Rosewood backplate is consistent with the other classy woods on this instrument. Gold hardware and a distinctive Ebony pickguard with purfling give the Severn a timeless finished look. 3 lively Fralin Blues special pickups give an exciting tonal palette and variety of tones. It’s clear, it’s gutsy, and with a very nice neck pickup with great bottom has great separation of sounds. Severn #1 is very resonant and lively. The BRW fingerboard offers a special feel that will inspire your playing to new heights. This is the best looking, best sounding and best playing Severn we’ve received from Joe.
