The Chena is a Single cutaway electric acoustic, carved top three on a side, short scale guitar. The body style is shaped similar to the Kenai, but a little larger.
Like your first born child, Chena #2 at 6.4 lbs is pure joy. This “Aged Scotch” Chena S/N 2 has Joe’s finest "incredible" Big leaf quilted maple top and south American Mahogany back. The '59' carve on this 12" radiused milky brown brazilian rosewood fingerboard makes playability a dream. Green ripple / black purfling adorn the body, fingerboard, and headstock. The "bookmatched" Brazilian Rosewood headstock and highly figured rock maple binding are incredible with the Engraved gold Waverly tuning pegs. Abalone shell inlayed "top hat" style knobs, the Knaggs designed one piece Tune-O-Matic bridge and Gold Fralin Pure PAFs round out the bottom. The sound is incredible. Chena #2 has a sweet single coil mode that sounds really good. The best surprise was the smoothness of the bass. The guitar growls when you want it to, but is soft, sweet, and has a very smooth character to it. From a Larry Carlton Bluesy-ness, to Martin Taylor jazz, to your favorite Les Paul artist, this guitar does it all. The Chena can be purchased in one of three finish levels.
