This 1959 Fender Strat Custom Shop in Tahoe Blue just nails it. 1959 was a banner year for guitars and this Tahoe Blue Heavy Relic looks like it was played on bandstands and in Concert Halls across the nation. Some of the Fender Custom Shop Strats are truly great guitars. This one surely fits into that space. With it's alder body, quarter sawn maple neck, Nitrocellulose lacquer finish, Indian Rosewood fingerboard (true ‘59’s had BRW boards), and bone nut, it is a faithful rendition of the way Fender made them in 1959. This neck has the finished removed, which gives a smoothness and playability that rivals BRW. The heavy relic aging of the body and aging of the pickguard gives an authentic vintage vibe.Custom Shop appointments and Rosewood neck, as a good ‘59 should be.
