This Paul Reed Smith Private Stock Custom 24 guitar was designed and handmade by Paul, and team, dated September 2, 2015. It is unique in being the ONLY Brazilian Rosewood topped Private Stock that I have ever seen. The woods include a Brazilian Rosewood top with curly maple binding on the top contour, African ribbon mahogany back, as well as a Brazilian rosewood neck, fingerboard, headstock veneer and truss rod cover. This Private Stock guitar is finished in a Natural with Smoked Burst Satin nitro finish which brings out the outstanding woods used in it’s creation. Other features include white with black web bird inlays; white with black web purfling along the fingerboard, headstock veneer and truss rod cover; white with black web side dots, and a white with black web “Brazilian” country outline inlay on a Brazilian rosewood backplate. The pickups are 57/08s with volume, push-pull tone with 3-way toggle. Hardware includes gold / nickel PRS temolo, phase III locking tuning pegs with Brazilian rosewood buttons, Brazilian rosewood pickup rings, and control knobs with white with black web bird inlays. This incredibly rare and special guitar is a sight to behold.. The solid Brazilian rosewood neck has a pattern carve with incredible feel. With faultless materials and the workmanship of Paul’s team, excellent sound and playability, this is among my favorite guitars.
