This guitar is a fixed “pin bridge” version of the Halfling Jazz Standard Archtop guitar. Utilizing the patented architecture where the treble side is arched and the bass side flat, gives the instrument the focused mid / upper end of an archtop with the clean clear bass penetration of a good flattop. The sound and playability of these guitars is superb. They are very responsive and resonant.
This guitar was personally finished by Tom, with a custom Cobalt blue nitrocellulose lacquer. It utilizes a solid sitka spruce top with indian rosewood sides and back. A mahogany neck with ebony fingerboard, pickguard, tailpiece and headstock round out the woods. Electronics include the “B-band” transducer system (pickup, pre-amp, and volume control concealed inside the soundhole).
The finish and workmanship from Tom is truly first rate. Hand-made in Healdsburg, CA.
